Silent No More, Thursday, February 22, 10am, 7pm

At Godwin we make it a priority to discuss the effects of substance use on the lives of our students and their families. We have partnered with organizations to bring awareness to the Godwin community in hopes that we can prevent our students from unsafe choices that can lead to addiction and overdose.

On Thursday, February 22nd, we will be hosting the program Silent No More for all Godwin students at 10:00 a.m. in the gymnasium. At 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, the Godwin PTSO will welcome the folks from Silent No More for an in-person parent presentation in the auditorium.  Please join us for this presentation so that you can hear the same message that your child is hearing that morning.

Silent No More educates students, parents and the community on the invisible dangers of substance misuse, including opioids and prescription painkillers.  We will hear from a team of experts who will share the short-term and long-term effects of substance misuse on life, the developing brain, relationships with friends/family and the community.  The presentation will be a powerful message that we would like for all our students to hear.
