Student Expectations Assemblies: We held student expectations assemblies for all grade levels this week during common studies. Here is the information that we presented to the students. Expectation Assemblies
Student Afternoon Pick-up: Please pick up your child in the afternoon in the senior parking lot, which is the parking lot beside Pump Road by the stadium and neighboring woods with the separate entrance. This is important for our traffic pattern to work smoothly in the afternoons.
Godwin Clinic Update:
- Central school health services will be assisting us soon in hiring a new licensed practical nurse to fully staff Godwin's clinic.
- We are thankful for Nurse Lockhart who is our registered nurse who has done a fantastic job with the opening of our school year!
- If your child tests positive for Covid, they will need to remain out of school for five days from the date of testing positive with no symptoms or the day symptoms begin.
Student Parking: Junior and senior students are allowed the privilege to drive to school and park on campus. Each student and their family needs to complete the parking form and pay the $50 parking fee in order to receive a parking decal. We will begin checking parking passes the week of September 11th. Cars parked on campus without a parking decal will be ticketed and fined.
College Visits: Godwin will host colleges and universities for common study meetings throughout the fall. Here is a link for students to sign up to participate in the meetings.
Fall Play: ATTENTION ACTORS!! Auditions for the Fall Play, Pride and Prejudice, will take place on Wednesday September 6th in room 11. We plan to complete auditions in one day. However, prepare for the possibility of callbacks on September 7th. Please prepare a Dramatic Monologue of your choice. The play takes place in England so you are welcome to attempt a British accent for your monologue but that is not a requirement. Audition packets will be made available on Monday August 28th in room 11.
Freshmen Class SCA Election: Attention all FRESHMEN: If you are interested in running for Freshman Class Council, please plan on picking up an application (called a petition) between Monday, August 28th through Wednesday, September 6th from Mrs. Martino in Room 63. All applications/petitions are due Thursday, September 7th at a mandatory meeting at 8:40 in Mrs. Martino’s room (Room 63). Freshman Class Council is a group of five students elected by the freshman class to represent the Class of 2027 and will help with the Homecoming Parade, Variety Show and other things throughout the year. Feel free to ask Mrs. Martino (Room 63) or Mr. Ungerleider (Room 36) any questions!

- ATTENTION FRESHMAN STUDENTS, the PTSO is looking for 4 Freshman Student Representatives to serve along with the Godwin PTSO board. The PTSO Student Representatives represent and support the PTSO Board and the Godwin School Community in many capacities throughout the school year. Godwin Athletic Association: Welcome to a new year of school and a new year of Godwin Athletics! Just wanted to take a moment to share some important items with you.
- MEMBERSHIP: Membership for the 2023-2024 school year is now open. Let's continue to come together and support our student athletes. We raise money to benefit athletes and the facilities on which they practice and play. Our goals are to promote positive community relations with parents, administration, students, alumni and the greater Godwin community to make sure our athletic programs are the best they can be.
