Spirit Night: Join us on Wednesday, January 10 at Panda Express on Staples Mill road anytime between 10am -10:30pm. Bring Paper flyer or order online using the code 358331 in the fundraiser code box. PTA receives 20% from school sales.
PTA Science Fair: Join us on January 25th from 6:00 – 7:00 in the Glen Allen Café!
What: A voluntary (unless your teacher requires it) science fair. Come ready to explain your project to visitors and to see your classmates’ projects. Vote for projects in fun categories. All participants receive a certificate.
Who: Open to all GAES students.
Why: Celebrating curiosity and creativity to inspire a love of science!

- The PTA will provide FREE display boards to all who register. You can find a sample project layout template here: https://bit.ly/gaes-science-fair-info. Due to space constraints, we ask that you use the boards provided by the PTA so that we may effectively plan sufficient exhibit space. Look for an announcement about display board pick-up prior to winter break.
- Work on your project. Enjoy experimenting and learning!
- Come to the Science Fair on January 25th. Stand by your project to explain and answer questions about your experiment. Then check out your classmates’ projects, vote for your favorites in fun categories, and receive your certificate!
GAES Family Cultural Celebration Night: Thursday, February 22nd – 5:30-7:30
We are excited to bring Family Culture Night back to GAES this year! It will be a fun night of celebrating and learning about our GAES families’ cultures and traditions. PTA Membership: It’s not too late to join!!! There is still time for Cub Families to join the PTA. There are memberships available for individual, family, grandparents, community and two members plus a cub fund donation. The PTA provides support for our students, school, teachers, and staff. Spirit Fundraiser: OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW! Students are growing and new spirit wear will be arriving soon! We are starting to collect donations of outgrown house color clothing and accessories (red, yellow, green, blue, and purple) along with Cub Love spirit wear to be sold in a pop-up shop that will serve as a new, ongoing PTA fundraiser. Items do not need to have the house logos on them, but should be primarily one color or cub spirit wear. You will find the collection cart near the entrance of GAES. Thank you for helping us prepare to open for the first time for fall parent-teacher conferences!
