Henrico, Va. Aug. 2, 2018 – As summer draws to a close, HCPS is looking for new employees. We are excited about the upcoming year and would like you to join our HCPS team. A job fair for interested individuals will be held Aug. 8 at Henrico Schools’ Central Office in eastern Henrico County. Bus drivers are always wanted, and now earn more. Substitute drivers will begin at $13.51 per hour. Full-time drivers start at $14.18 per hour, while experienced drivers can earn up to $14.86. Henrico Schools is also seeking school nutrition workers, plumbers, carpenters and technicians specializing in heating and air conditioning.

Henrico Schools is also seeking teachers in some hard-to-staff areas: Spanish, French, special education, math, physics, technical education, and family and consumer science. If you have an expired Virginia teaching license, are a retired teacher in one of these subjects, or hold at least an undergraduate degree in one of these areas, come talk to us. We need you, too!

Representatives from the HCPS Human Resources Department, as well as departmental representatives, will be on hand at the event.

Don’t have bus driving experience? Qualified driver candidates will be paid as they train.
