Henrico, Va. July 16, 2018 – We’re preparing for the best school year ever and we’d love to talk with you about joining our team. Henrico County Public Schools will hold a job fair Wednesday at the Henrico County Training Center to talk about opportunities with the school division. School division bus drivers now earn more – $14.18 per hour to start for full-time drivers and up to $14.86 for experienced drivers. Substitute drivers now earn $13.51 per hour. Henrico Schools is also seeking school nutrition workers, plumbers, carpenters and technicians specializing in heating and air conditioning.
Henrico Schools is also seeking teachers in some hard-to-staff areas: Spanish, French, special education, math, physics, technical education, and family and consumer science. If you have an expired Virginia teaching license, are a retired teacher in one of these subjects, or hold at least an undergraduate degree in one of these areas, come talk to us. We need you, too.
Representatives from the HCPS Human Resources Department, as well as departmental representatives, will be on hand for the event.
Don’t know how to drive a bus? Qualified bus driver candidates will be paid while they train.
