Administrative Applicants

Exceptional Education Instructional Assistants
Additional requirements:
- ParaPro Assessment, with a score of 455 or higher, or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university, or a bachelor’s degree or higher

School Nutrition

Certified Applicants
Additional requirements:

Federal Programs Instructional Assistants
Additional requirements:
- Two years of college, an associate degree or bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
General Education Instructional Assistants
Additional requirements:
- ParaPro assessment, with a score of 455 or higher, or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university, or a bachelor’s degree or higher

Transportation

- Good moral character form

All Substitute Positions
- ALL substitute candidates must be at least 18 years old, complete an online application (IRC167423) and upload two (2) signed references letters or two signed reference forms, and transcripts with the degree awarded date, and a certificate of completion for the CWSE 5691 – Recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect (For Educators)
- Additional Requirements:
Substitute Teacher:
- Have at least 60 credit hours, an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
- Have completed the CWSE 5691 – Recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect (For Educators) training
Substitute Office Instructional Assistant
- Have a High School Diploma/GED
- Have completed the CWSE 5691 – Recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect (For Educators) training
RN and LPN Substitutes*:
- Must apply using the following listings: RN (IRC167424) OR LPN (IRC167425)
- A current Virginia Nursing license and a current CPR/AED certification card
