YAY ANGELA CARTER! Angela Carter, a second grade teacher at Dumbarton Elementary School, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at the school.
YAYWORTHY: Nominator Jaymee Fairbrother said: “Every day Ms. Carter makes a positive impact. My son speaks so highly of her and comes home each day eager to share what he’s learned. As a parent I believe that communication is absolutely key, and every day she sends out emails making parents aware of what our children have done in school that day and what we can continue to do at home. Any time I have a question about anything at all she is so quick to get back to me, which I really appreciate. She goes above and beyond with communication and ensuring that her students are on the right track for a successful school year.
“Last year was so hard on students not being in the classroom and I was very worried how my son would do going back and how far behind he would or would not be. I can definitely see so much progression with my son and I’m so very grateful to Ms. Carter for that.”
Thank you for all you do, Angela Carter, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
