YAY SABA TARIQ! Saba Tariq, an instructional assistant at Skipwith Elementary School, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at the school.
YAYWORTHY: Nominator Brooke Johnson said: “She goes out of her way to look for ways to help in the classroom each and every day. Whether running a small group, assisting a student with make-up work, or simply helping pass out papers, Saba does it all with a smile on her face. Everyone should have a Mrs. Saba in their room!
“Once she stayed late (as she does many days in the classroom) to help read aloud a test that a student had missed while in quarantine. She willingly stayed past her time so that the student could get caught up and to mark off a task on my long to-do list. Every day, she works hard with our students, and if there is even a moment of down time, she asks what else she can do to help. Mrs. Saba is such a positive addition to our room and I quite literally do not know how I would manage without her!”
Thank you for all you do, Saba Tariq, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
