Henrico, Va., March 25, 2022 — Is virtual education right for your student? Attend a March 29 online information session and learn more about Henrico County Public Schools’ first fully virtual K-12 school. Learn about how the Henrico Virtual Academy is structured and the process for applying for the 2022-23 school year. Hear what life is like for students enrolled in the virtual academy.
Families of K-12 students may apply for 2022-23 starting April 11 by going to the application page on the school’s website.
Presenters for the information session will include Deia Champ, HCPS’ director of middle schools and lead director of the Henrico Virtual Academy, and Garry Marshall, HVA principal.

Henrico County Public Schools launched its first fully online K-12 school at the start of the 2021-22 school year. Students at the academy attend classes virtually with a mix of synchronous classes — learning online in a group with a teacher — and asynchronous, or independent learning. The school is aimed at students who benefit from the flexibility, individualized environment and focus of virtual learning. Any student residing in Henrico County may apply.
