YAY LINDA WACHTER! Linda Wachter, a first grade teacher at Crestview Elementary School, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at the school.
YAYWORTHY: Nominator Jehan Gabrual said: “She deserves this honor because of the strong relationships she builds with her students. My son comes home every day telling me that Mrs. Wachter takes the time to answer his questions and helps him when he is struggling with writing and reading. She also takes the time to build relationships with parents and finds ways for me to be involved in the classroom even though volunteers are restricted due to COVID-19. I’m able to read to the students virtually and help with items they need.”
“Mrs. Wachter is always willing to provide suggestions and how I can better support my child at home. My son is very lucky to have someone who is so loving and caring and has his best interests at heart.”
“You know a teacher is making a positive impact when your son comes home and tells you how much he loves school because his teacher is proud of him.”
Thank you for all you do, Linda Wachter, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
