YAY CHELSEA JOHNSON! Chelsea Johnson, a school nurse at Brookland Middle School, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at the school.
YAYWORTHY: Nominator Jessica Agosta said: “Chelsea Johnson gracefully juggles the intensity of COVID-19 tracing, general student health and illnesses, and being new at Brookland. You would never know she hustles all day long, always going the extra mile — patiently — and puts her kids and her staff before her own needs.”
“Nurse Johnson was present in such a gentle way amidst the back-to-school flurry to find our new normal. Every day, she helped a new student who took a long time to arrive, and and gave this child extended time, even though it delayed the day’s schedule. In Quarter 1, Nurse Johnson even experienced someone hitting her car on campus! Through all of this, she showed up on time, with a tone of positive patience in her voice. Way to rock flexibility and adaptability, Nurse Johnson!”
Thank you for all you do, Chelsea Johnson, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
