Tyler Julian
Deep Run HS

YAY TYLER JULIAN! Tyler Julian, an exceptional education teacher at Deep Run High School, is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at the school.

YAYWORTHY: Nominator Dalida Ghoussoub said: “Nothing stops Tyler from trying to be the perfect educator. She works tirelessly to have meaningful impacts on each of the students in the integrated services program at Deep Run.”

“It’s not possible to give just one example: she gives 110% of herself every day in planning and reaching every child. Not only that, she goes beyond with selflessness to make sure everything is running as it is supposed to. She is ambitious and innovative. Tyler sees the big picture and tactfully addresses the tiniest details on each project.”

“Tyler’s latest project is developing a ‘Gratitude Tree’ she planned and executed, getting every student at Deep Run to participate in reflecting on what they are grateful for using a gigantic mural she created in the hallway. On ‘Wellness Wednesdays’ she encourages students to write creatively about the smallest things they appreciate in their lives and at Deep Run. With every leaf filled up by students in each class, it is inspiring to see how the action of one person has become the root of social and emotional well-being. While Tyler had planned a tree, in reality she created a forest with great expressions in our beautiful school community.”

Thank you for all you do, Tyler Julian, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
