Henrico, Va. July 6, 2021 — Middle and high school students can get a variety of vaccinations Wednesday at Elko Middle School, the latest in a series of comprehensive walk-in vaccination clinics that will continue in July. Henrico County Public Schools and the Virginia Department of Health are offering the clinics to protect middle and high school students.

HCPS and the VDH will conduct the clinics at three HCPS middle schools to vaccinate students entering seventh grade or higher. Vaccinations include those for COVID-19 (for students 12 and older), as well as tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, HPV and meningococcal virus. (TDaP and meningococcal virus vaccines are required for students entering seventh grade. Meningococcal virus vaccine is required for students entering 12th grade. HPV and COVID-19 vaccines are offered as a convenience but are not required for school.)

Students can get as many as four vaccines at one time (or over the course of two clinics). No appointment is necessary and there is no cost.
