Save the dates: Four student vaccines available at HCPS walk-in clinics

HCPS and the Virginia Department of Health are joining forces with an important new offer to protect our middle and high school students: comprehensive summer vaccination clinics.

For your convenience, HCPS and the VDH will conduct vaccination clinics at three of our middle schools to vaccinate any students ages 12 and older for not only COVID-19, but also tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, HPV and meningococcal virus.(TDaP and meningococcal virus vaccines are required for students entering seventh grade. Meningococcal virus vaccine is required for students entering 12th grade. HPV and COVID vaccines are offered as a convenience, but are not required for school.)

Students can get as many as four vaccines at one time (or over the course of two clinics), no appointment is necessary and there is no cost!

What: Walk-in Summer Comprehensive Vaccination Clinics by HCPS and VDH

Who: Students entering grades 7 or higher, and/or students ages 12 and older (COVID vaccine)

What else do I need to know?

Parents or guardians will need to sign student consent forms for students to be vaccinated. The forms will be available to fill out when you walk in for vaccinations. If you wish to complete them in advance, the forms are available on this page. Paper copies will also be available in advance at any middle or high school starting next week. Forms completed in advance can be faxed to 804-343-6555, emailed to, or brought with you to the vaccination clinic. All students receiving vaccination must have the signed consent form either with them or on file (if submitted in advance) at the time of vaccination.
