YAY VIVIAN HACKNEY! Vivian Hackney, a preschool teacher at Henry D. Ward Elementary School, is one of today’s “Yay of the Day” honorees. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at Ward.

YAYWORTHY— Nominator Shannel Randolph said: “She makes sure her students stay engaged and learn new material weekly by delivering a new packet of work to each student. This is extremely helpful for 4-year-olds. She changes the material and the songs being taught each week to help keep the kids learning and into their assignments so that they won’t get bored.”

Kim Robinson said: “She has come up with amazing activities to help her pre-K students thrive in the midst of a pandemic. They truly love her! Every Sunday, she gathers materials for the week’s activities and delivers folders and workbooks to each of her students’ homes. They love to run outside and give her air hugs or wave from the window!”

Thank you for all you do, Vivian, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
