YAY KRISTA HODGES! Krista Hodges of Rivers Edge Elementary School is today’s “Yay of the Day” winner. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored Kari recently at REES.
YAYWORTHY— Nominator Julie Murphy said: “She is an amazing kindergarten teacher: loving, exciting, motivating, challenging and teaching young learners, even with the extra demands of virtual education. Mrs Hodges dressed as an elf and hand-delivered snowmen and water bottles to every one of her kindergartners. Every day she reminds them that, even though we are all different, we are all special. Every day she starts class with ‘I’m so excited to see you!’ and ends with ‘I love you.’ Every kiddo can feel the authenticity of that.”
Mansi Moroney said: “She has the biggest heart and biggest smile! She is so patient and loving with the kindergartners! As parents we were skeptical about how our kindergartner would adjust to virtual school. Mrs. Hodges has gone above and beyond to make sure the little ones enjoy school. She is patient and smiles through times when the iPads don’t work and makes sure the kids stay positive and don’t get frustrated! She rocks.”
Thank you for all you do, Krista, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
