YAY CRISTINA MANSILLA! Cristina Mansilla of Seven Pines Elementary School is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored Cristina recently at Seven Pines.

YAYWORTHY— Nominator LaTasha Polega said:

“Miss Mansilla goes above and beyond for her students. She is always patient with them, friendly and kind. Her demeanor is always bubbly and pleasant. She has made the virtual classroom setting a wonderful learning experience for students by showing them the ins and outs. She walks them through the daily routine to make the virtual classroom and technology understandable for the kids. You know that she loves all her students equally! It truly shows.

“She holds a reading group for her first-graders after school. During this time, she allows them to share a book with her that they enjoyed reading. It is the perfect chance for the students to share with their teacher and other students. The students love this special moment with their teacher.”

“She has made a huge impact helping my first-grader to love school.She has encouraged my daughter to find excitement in reading. Now she loves to read to her sisters.”
