HCPS will interview candidates for bus drivers, classroom monitors and clinic aides at a job fair April 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with in-person interviews by appointment only.

Classroom monitors support and assist students with class material and provide individualized attention while the classroom teacher is providing virtual instruction. Candidates must be high school graduates and have 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university. Clinic aides help address the health and first aid needs of students. Aides must be certified in first aid and CPR by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Interested in driving a bus but don’t have driving experience? Qualified bus driver candidates will be paid as they train.

Candidates for full-time and substitute bus drivers must: be at least 21 years old; have a valid Virginia driver’s license; obtain a CDL Class B instructional permit or hold a CDL Class B license with endorsements in P (Transporting Passengers)/S (School Bus) and airbrakes; pass a physical and drug test and have no felony convictions.
