YAY LORI MARKS! Lori Marks of Springfield Park ES is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored Lori recently at Springfield Park.
YAYWORTHY— Nominator Christine Coffey said of Lori: “She dresses up in a different themed outfit every week for gym class and creates lessons to engage her students around those educational themes. When my kindergartner is getting tired of virtual learning, Mrs Marks comes in and gets her excited, engaged and active.”
Rachel Gower-Kinney said: “She is creative when it comes to making her P.E. lessons. There is not one example of how she makes a positive impact on her students: she does it every day in her class. She is patient with all students and shows them how to exercise while making it super fun and engaging. She dresses up (as a painting, dinosaur or astronaut, to name a few) to fully engage the students. She teaches them, not just P.E., but incorporates other subjects like art into her classes. She even taught a class full of kindergarteners how to play “Rock, Paper, Scissors.” My son loves going to Ms. Marks’ P.E. class each week. She spreads joy every day.”
Thank you for all you do, Lori, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
