YAY JEN BERDUX! Jen Berdux of Kaechele Elementary School is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored Jennifer recently at Kaechele.
YAYWORTHY— Jen received three nominations.
Nominator Callan Walsh said: “She was my fourth-grade teacher and she had such a positive attitude about everything. She is an awesome teacher and makes sure you understand every topic that she is teaching. She is so inspiring and now I want to be like her when I grow up! I wasn’t getting the math topic we were learning and so she pulled me over and told me that it is going to be OK and that I will get it soon. She sat down with me and the other kids that didn’t get it and explained it to us and made sure we were understanding it better.”
Courtney de Kanter said: “She finds a way to connect with the students despite learning being virtual. She plays a special song each morning and asks individual students about their weekend or previous evening.”
Anandi Sarkar said: “She’s kind, compassionate, and can teach really well! A time I remember when she made a positive impact was when she spoke to us about the book ‘Mr. Terupt.'”
Thank you for all you do, Jen, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
