YAY PAM MILLS! Pam Mills of Pemberton Elementary School is today’s “Yay of the Day” honoree. Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored Dawn recently at Pemberton.
YAYWORTHY— Nominator Lauren Ramseur said: “Mrs. Mills went out of her way to keep her third grade class engaged, connected and learning during the first hard weeks of the pandemic shutdown. She set up regular Zoom calls with her third grade class during the spring, keeping them connected to each other, connected to her and engaged in learning. The emotional support of maintaining that connection was so important during those weeks of isolation and worry. Even after the school year ended, Mrs. Mills was willing to continue the Zoom calls, reading a book to the class each day, to keep the class connected to each other during the shutdown. Her efforts gave our third-grader support and stability when she needed it most.”
Thank you for all you do, Pam, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
