The County School Board of Henrico County, Virginia, will hold the following meetings:

Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 

3:30 p.m.           Work Session

5:30 p.m.           Public Hearing to Solicit Input on Proposed Revisions to the 2018-2025 Strategic Plan

6 p.m.                 Public Hearing to Solicit Input on Redistricting   

The meeting will take place in the auditorium of the New Bridge Learning Center, 5915 Nine Mile Road, Henrico, Va. Closed sessions will be held during the work session as deemed necessary. School Board meetings are open to the public and interested citizens are invited to attend. Note: In accordance with the policy for access to all buildings operated by Henrico County, attendees age 5 and older are required to wear masks at the meeting, and the seating policy will reflect social distancing guidelines. Attendees will also undergo a brief health screening before entering. 

There are three opportunities to submit your opinions to the Board:

  • Work Session (3:30 p.m.):
    There will be no in-person public forum at this meeting, but you may submit written comments on any topic for consideration by the School Board. To do so, go to the School Board webpage at https://henricoschools.us/school-board/ and click “Submit comments for the next available public forum.” All written comments submitted using the online forms will be distributed to the Board members before the meeting and posted for public view in “BoardDocs,” where all meeting materials are archived.
  • Public Hearing to Solicit Input on Proposed Revisions to the 2018-2025 Strategic Plan (5:30 p.m.) and Public Hearing to Solicit Input on Redistricting (6 p.m.):
    There are two ways to comment at the public hearings: in-person comments and written comments submitted by 8 a.m. on Jan. 14. The public hearings will be limited to the topics described above. Due to health and safety guidelines, capacity in the meeting location is limited, so in-person speakers may be asked to wait outside of the meeting room or outside of the meeting building until it is their turn to speak. To ensure all constituents have the opportunity to comment, citizens may also submit written comments for the public hearings in advance using an online form, which much be submitted by 8 a.m. on Jan. 14. 

 All written comments submitted using the online forms will be distributed to the Board members before the meeting and posted for public view in “BoardDocs,” where all meeting materials are archived.
