Henrico, Va. Aug. 25, 2020 — The Henrico School Board will wrap up a series of three virtual meetings with HCPS students Monday at 6 p.m. The event was slated for the morning but has been moved to an evening start time. HCPS students are invited to discuss a variety of topics with Alicia Atkins, the Board’s Varina District representative, and several guests. All HCPS students are invited to attend.

No registration is required.
The meeting will be recorded and posted on the School Board webpage for additional viewing. Video versions of the first two meetings are available at the School Board page by clicking on “Previous Events.” The first virtual meeting with students was hosted by Board members Micky Ogburn and Marcie Shea; the second was hosted by Board members Roscoe Cooper and Kristi Kinsella.
Community Conversations: Student Town Hall Meetings with Henrico School Board

Possible topics include students’ thoughts on staying connected during predominantly virtual education, including resources for mental and physical well-being and ways to stay motivated and combat isolation and depression.
The meetings are part of HCPS’ Community Conversations series. Adrienne Cole Johnson, director of the school division’s Department of Family and Community Engagement, moderates the discussions.
