Henrico, Va. Oct. 21, 2019 – Because of changes to Virginia law, HCPS now has the option to open before Labor Day, offering more flexibility in how we create school calendars. While HCPS will stick to opening after Labor Day for the 2020-21 school year, we want your ideas for the 2021-22 calendar and beyond. Should HCPS open before Labor Day? Is it better to have more breaks throughout the school year instead of longer breaks? What other options are available? Share your thoughts at three community meetings. Information will be shared with the HCPS Calendar Committee as the members develop calendar options.

Community meetings about calendar options (all meetings are 6:30-8 p.m.)
