How should Henrico Schools allocate its funds? Share your thoughts on HCPS’ budget for the 2020-21 school year
Henrico, Va., Oct. 9, 2019 – Henrico Schools will hold four opportunities to get community views on the school division’s budget for the 2020-21 school year. There will be two stakeholders’ meetings held at Henrico County Public Library locations, and two public hearings held at New Bridge Learning Center before the Henrico School Board.
At the stakeholders’ meetings, a short presentation by HCPS budget staff members will be followed by opportunities to comment and ask questions. The two public hearings are simply opportunities for public comment and will include no presentations or discussion. The public hearings will precede the Board’s monthly meetings for November and December.
The school division will develop a budget proposal using feedback from stakeholders. The superintendent’s budget is scheduled to be released in January.
