Spread the word: Henrico Schools seeking bus drivers, school nutrition workers and school nurses at Oct. 4 job fair

Do you know someone who would be a good fit for the Henrico County Public Schools team? The school division is seeking school nutrition workers, bus drivers and school nurses – important positions that help keep our students safe, happy and healthy. HCPS is holding a job fair Oct. 4 to interview candidates for full-time and substitute positions. Good bus driver candidates will be paid while they train. Henrico Schools is seeking both full-time registered nurses and substitutes.

Representatives from the HCPS Human Resources Department will be on hand for a job fair Oct. 4 at Henrico County Public Library’s Varina Area Library. Also present to talk with interested candidates will be representatives from the HCPS Pupil Transportation and School Nutrition Services departments.

Candidates for full-time and substitute bus drivers must: be at least 21 years old; have a valid Virginia driver’s license; obtain a CDL Class B instructional permit or hold a CDL Class B license with endorsements in P (Transporting Passengers)/S (School Bus) and airbrakes; pass a physical and drug test and have no felony convictions.

Henrico Schools is also planning to hold a job fair Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Henrico County Public Library’s Libbie Mill Library.
